Adjustment

NOTE: Rear Fixed Glass Panel

NOTE: If both glass panels are being aligned, align the rear fixed glass panel before aligning the front sliding glass panel.

The front sliding glass panel initialization procedure must be done when repairs are carried out on the roof opening panel system, including: any time the roof opening panel motor has been removed, the roof opening panel glass (rear fixed or front sliding) has been removed or adjusted, or if the roof opening panel frame has been removed.
  1. Position the front sliding glass panel to the fully closed position.
  1. Measure the rear and sides of the rear fixed glass to roof clearances as shown.
  1. If adjustment is needed, fully open the roof opening panel shield.
  1. On both sides.
    Adjust the roof opening panel fixed glass.
    1. Loosen the retainers to adjust the roof opening panel fixed glass.
      Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
    1. Adjust the roof opening panel fixed glass as necessary.
  1. If the rear fixed glass alignment was adjusted and the front sliding glass panel does not need adjustment, initialize the front sliding glass panel.
    Refer to: Power Roof Opening Panel Initialization (501-17 Roof Opening Panel, General Procedures).

Adjustment

NOTE: Front Sliding Glass Panel

NOTE: The front sliding glass panel initialization procedure must be done when repairs are carried out on the roof opening panel system, including: any time the roof opening panel motor has been removed, the roof opening panel glass (rear fixed or front sliding) has been removed or adjusted, or if the roof opening panel frame has been removed.

  1. Position the front sliding glass panel to the fully closed position.
  1. Measure the front, rear and sides of the sliding glass to roof clearances as shown.
  1. If adjustment is needed, fully open the roof opening panel shield.
  1. If necessary, on both sides.
    Detach the top portion of the roof opening panel blind and fold it down to get access to the roof opening panel glass retainers.
  1. NOTE: Roof opening panel blind removed for clarity.

    On both sides.
    Adjust the roof opening panel sliding glass.
    1. Loosen the retainers to adjust the roof opening panel sliding glass.
      Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
    1. Adjust the roof opening panel sliding glass as necessary.
  1. If any adjustment was made on the front sliding or rear fixed glass panels, initialize the front sliding glass panel.
