Removal

NOTICE:
Do not pull the engine appearance cover forward or
sideways to remove. Failure to press straight upward on the underside of
the cover at the attachment points may result in damage to the cover or
engine components.
Remove the nuts and the appearance cover.

Detach the wiring harness retainers.

Detach the wiring harness retainer.
-
Use compressed air to remove any foreign material from
the ignition coil-on-plugs and surrounding area before removing the
ignition coil-on-plugs.

NOTE:
When removing the ignition coil-on-plugs, a slight twisting motion will break the seal and ease removal.
Remove the retainers and the ignition coil-on-plugs.
Installation

Inspect the ignition coil-on-plug assembly for cracks,
rips or tears. Replace any damaged ignition coil-on-plug assemblies.

Install the ignition coil-on-plugs and the retainers.
Torque:
89 lb.in (10 Nm)

NOTE:
If equipped with a sliding cover over the locking tab, slide the cover back to gain access to the tab.

Connect the ignition coil-on-plug electrical connectors.

Attach the wiring harness retainer.
-
Attach the wiring harness retainers.
-
Install the appearance cover and the nuts.
Torque:
89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Do not loosen or remove the crankshaft pulley bolt without
first installing the special tools as instructed in this procedure. The
crankshaft pulley and the crankshaft timing sprocket are not keyed to
the crankshaft. The crankshaft, the crankshaft sprocket and the pulley
are fitted together by friction...
