Removal
NOTICE: Under no circumstances should the accessory drive belt, tensioner or pulleys be lubricated as potential damage to the belt material and tensioner damping mechanism will occur. Do not apply any fluids or belt dressing to the accessory drive belt or pulleys.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTICE: Do not pull the engine apperance cover forward or sideways to remove. failure to put straight upward on the underside of the cover at the attachment points may result in damage to the cover or engine components.
Remove the nuts and the engine appearance cover.NOTE: The accessory drive belt tensioner must be replaced as a complete unit.
Installation
NOTE: Safety shield must be re-installed, to protect hands in the case of an un-expected start.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.WARNING: Do not place your arms on the airbag cover or through the steering wheel. Failure to follow this instruction could result in personal injury.
WARNING: Keep the areas in front of the airbags free from obstruction. Do not affix anything to or over the airbag covers. Objects could become projectiles during airbag deployment or in a sudden stop. Failure to follow this instruction could result in personal injury or death.
WARNING: Airbags can kill or injure a child in a child restraint. Never place a rear-facing child restraint in front of an active airbag. If you must use a forward-facing child restraint in the front seat, move the seat upon which the child restraint is installed all the way back.
